Michelle Mckinlay is a 63-year-old self-taught artist whose creative journey spans a rich range of media. She works fluidly from pencil sketches to expressive paintings and layered collage, embracing experimentation and texture. Beyond her visual art, Michelle is deeply passionate about crafts, finding joy in knitting, crochet, and sewing by both hand and machine. Her artistic focus centers on portraiture and pattern, often blending the two to create striking compositions. Her work reflects patience, curiosity, and a lifelong love of making things by hand. She continues to explore new techniques while staying true to her intuitive and personal artistic voice.
